I’ve never ridden a Harley before, so why not make my first the one they’re banking a lot of their future on?

Full post to come, but this thing was so stupid fun that if it were not for the ridiculous price I would legit be looking to clean out my vehicle collection. I could only imagine how a Ninja H2 or a Zero feels.

Honestly I would love to own one of these. Just not $30k of love. But obviously this is a “soak the early adopters to recoup development costs” product. There’ll be cheaper ones in the future.

I’m not entirely sure this counts as a Harley. I mean good for them for making it! But no other Harley will be even remotely similar to ride.

they have no choice. They can’t be beholden to the customer base which thinks a “Real Harley” is a big twin bagger, because that customer base is literally dying off.

It was made by Harley, it’s a damn Harley. The current Ford Mustang isn’t anything like the  one from 50 years ago but it's still a Ford.

Just give in to the inevitable and buy something from this century. Maybe a BMW S1000RR, or a KTM Super Duke R or a Honda CFR450L.
